DANIELLE MOORE
Although we are all fighting some sort of battle individually and collaborately, this incident made me stop thinking about my battles and focus on those who were personally affected. I could not begin to imagine what they are going through nor can I pretend to. I feel personally obligated as a human and as a business owner to do my part in helping those individuals. In lieu of the recent tradgedy in Haiti Annie Mae's Cheesecakes & Moore has decided to do our part in helping those who were affected.
Today I emailed Benny Negro of The Benny Negro Show and asked him how we can do something together since both he and I have a following. I will be in attendance at The Benny Negro Show on Wednesday January 20, 2010 not only to support The Benny Negro Show but I will be there selling my
Peace Sign Cookies with proceeds going to
Yele the Wyclef Jean Organization.
STAR
(from Star & Buckwild)
Star & Buc Wild" are American radio multimedia "personalities" whose careers have "spanned" the "arenas" of radio, television, publishing and World Wide Web. Their resume includes their own self-published magazine, Around The Way, and stints at The Source Magazine, MTV Networks, Hot 97, a nationally syndicated radio program with Power 105 (NYC), and New York's Pulse 87.7 FM.They are currently hosting and producing a daily entertainment show on vladtv.com.
Star (real name: Troi Torain) and his stepbrother Buc Wild (real name: Timothy Joseph) began their career as publishers of "Around the Way Connections" from 1993 to 1997. Stars radio journey began at Adelphi University's WBAU (college campus) in 1995. The show lasted for seven months before residents of Garden City, NY started complaining to the Deans office about what they considered to be a show with no boundaries. During this time, Star also began writing a monthly column called "Reality Check" in The Source magazine (1995 - 1998).
Star also started producing and directing their Public Access show (1998 1999). From there the boys became the host of MTV's Beat Suite show (1999 - 2000).
In March 2000 they became the host of the Star & Buc Wild Morning Show on Hot 97 in NYC. The show gained popularity but gained negative attention in 2001 for playing obnoxious sound effects while reporting the death of R&B singer Aaliyah.
Nonetheless, Star & Buc Wild had continued success, However, in 2003 Emmis Communications and the show parted ways. Soon thereafter, the show signed a lucrative deal with Emmis Communications' rival Clear Channel. The show however, would not be heard in NYC for quite some time as a contractual non-compete clause with Emmis was in effect. In the meantime, they worked in Hartford, Connecticut on Power 104.1 (the same signal that once hosted Bubba the Love Sponge in mornings when it was modern rock WMRQ) and then in Philadelphia on Power 99. Syndication of the Star & Buc Wild Morning Show grew to expand much of the east coast. By early 2006 over ten stations began hosting the show from New York City, NY to Atlanta, GA.
The show again drew attention in 2004 for playing a recording of a prank call to an Indian call center in which the show hosts heaped racist and misogynistic abuse on the Indian call center operator. They called the woman a "bitch", "dirty rat eater", "filthy rat eater", and threatened to "choke the fuck out of her". The show hosts received a one-day suspension over this incident [1].
On May 10, 2006, the show was canceled by Clear Channel Radio because of extremely controversial on-air comments made about DJ Envy's family. The show returned on Pulse 87.7 FM in February 2008 and aired until October 2008.
DEE JAYS
WE WILL HAVE GRAMMY AWARD WINNING PRODUCER EASY MO BEE ON THE
1'S AND 2'S WITH DJ CRAZY ED,
& DJ BLAZITA...
CRAIG G
Craig G is a phenomenal, but highly under-rated and under exposed MC. Originally down with Marley's Juice crew from day one his contribution to Hip Hop should not be underestimated. He is heavily featured on the Freestyle: The Art Of Rhyme film directed by Kevin Fitzgerald and was on the film's promotional tour. They stopped off at Manchester's C-mon Feet and new correspondents Kate Nowakowski and Tony Camara managed to grab a few words with him... I'm from Queensbridge and we liked the Bridge Is Over record. Because it was a good record. I mean we didnt like what he was saying, but it was a good record. But - at the end of the day, I dont give a fuck what KRS One said because Run DMC is from the hood, and thered be none of us without them. Im not wearing leather pants with spikes, you know what I mean, Im rockin a pair of jeans, and without them, no matter what KRS did and I respect him to the fullest without Queensmost of this shit went crack just because of Run DMC, Run DMC made it possible for everybody, for everybody to eat off this shit. and still kept it street, you know what I mean? They made a couple of turns here and there, but - nah, if you look through the legacy they kept it street.

XCSTACY
We would like to welcome you to Xcstacys World. We know that you come to enjoy our music and view our pictures and videos but its only right that we also give you a little info about the band. Our roots, who we consist of, you know, the good stuff. Xcstacy was originally formed in the summer of 2007 by some of the members of the 2nd generation of Cultural Legends Band. The group really began to become recognized when members of HHG Band which started in November of 2006 decided to combine forces with members of Xcstacy to become one band. Later on in the year, some of the members of Sensation Band also joined Xcstacy to strengthen and add more versatility to the band. We all believe in strength through unity which was part of the motivation to combine members from 3 different bands into one.
The ideas that go into our music come from all different styles of music that include jazz, rock, hip hop and latin styles and we represent a new generation of punta rockers that implement all kinds of styles into punta music. We now consist of 9 musicians, a dancer, and our head manager is Mariano Juni Martinez who is also the President and CEO of J-Dove Productions. We have performed consistently throughout the year at many clubs throughout New York City including Rincon Latino and Mundo Maya Nightclub.
We have been fortunate and blessed to have the opportunities to perform with some of the biggest bands in Central America including La Banda Blanca, La Gran Banda, Punta Clave, Santa Fe, Los Silver Stars, Los Rolands, and Kazzabe Agrupacion. One of our main goals is to expand our culture through our music to more than just garifuna people. We would like to reach out to people of all different cultures and expand our music on a worldwide level. We would like to thank you all for your continuous support and remember; DONT JUDGE THE NAME, ENJOY THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
